Duke & Rogen 1980 Journal Out of 26 traps each, I collected 3 P. guatemalensis, Ed 3 P. guatemalensis, and David 1 P. boylii. This locality is wetter than the other two, with more moss and ferns and bromeliads. This and other localities have been moderately logged. 1845 hrs Finished setting another 20 shermans this locality. Ed did also. We picked up the traps from the lowest locality, but left the traps at the 2700m local. Total traps out this night: 160 (60 at 2700m, 100 at 2800m) 2125 hrs. Prepared 2 P. boylii and 7 guatemalensis. No Kateromys have been taken. I hope this is because they are rare and further trapping will yield at least several. We will stay here for several more days. 14 December 0635 hrs Arose and got dressed. Last night the clouds were follow us in elevation at first, but with nightfall the clouds rolled in.
