Duke E Roger 1982 Journal 1600hrs. Arrived Ciudad Nielly (Not Villa Nelly) and have attempted to take the road to San Vito. However, the road was very bad - passable in a VW bus but very hard on it. I did not want to risk damage to the vehicle so we turned around after drive ca. 10 km and winding up to 850 m from near sealevel of Ciudad Nielly 1830hr Ed and I each set a line of traps in a fairly undisturbed area of forest just southeast of town (see map below) N To Palmer Sun Ciudad Nielly bridge over river Tapping local The locality is 1.1 km SE (by rd.) Ciudad Nielly, 25m, Prov. Puntarenas, Costa Rica. It is located on the other side of the river behind some cultivated land on a hillside. You can see the fairly large trees and mature appearing vegetation quite easily from the road.
