Duke S Rogers 1982 Journal 0900 hrs Completed picking up my traps. Collected one Heteromys from 40 traps set in the forest and one Oryzomy's (large = devin?) from 30 set in secondary growth. Unfortunately, another mouse escaped when I [illegible] tried to look at it (Oryzomine: ca 270 total, long tail, very dark above). Ed caught another Heteromys on his line, but nothing from a series of traps set in secondary brush Rio Reventazon To Limon To Turrialba 1045 hrs Arrived town of Siqureses and ate breakfast 1205 hrs Arrived Limon. The habitat between Turrialba and Limon has been considerably altered - we did not see any mature rainforest remaining. There are areas where there are big trees - but there usually or always is an understory of
