Duke S Rogen 1981 Journal headed back toward Puebla (south on the Periferico through Chapultepec park) until a turnoff for Mex Hwy 150 and Puebla. From there we headed for any sign for Puebla and Hwy 150. 1430hrs We were stopped by a pair of policier who wanted money because our vehicle was not supposed to carry cargo, just people. I talked them down from 2 thousand pesos or $80 US dollars to $25 dollars. The P. thomasi died within a half hour of my return to the car with the ligule! Nr! 1605hrs Passed by the town of Puebla on 150 toll road. 1935hrs Arrived Orizaba, checked into Hotel de France. 2230hrs We plan to check out a salamander locality ca. 18 miles west of Orizaba. We will then drive to Puerto del Aire where I will set more traps in hopes of collecting additional P. thomasi. 6 November 0630hrs Awoke, quickly dressed and prepared to leave hotel room for El Berro locality. 0705hrs left Orizaba. Reserved our hotel room for an additional night. The locality is located off the toll road well above the Town of Orizaba.
