Began road driving for herps 2000 hrs Collected several herps (see Seib's Journal this date) after driving ca. 50 miles SE El Rosario. Will make camp at the 10 mi SE locality for the night. 5 September 0545 Arose to check traps. 0630 Collected 9 mice from 20 traps at the 10 mi SE El Rosario locality 4 Neotoma fuscipes (all released) 4 Perognathus 1 Peromyscus 0845 hrs Collected 12 mice from 80 Sherman at 9.3 mi N (by road) El Rosario 8 Neotoma (7 fuscipes and 1 lepida?) 3 Perognathus 1 Peromyscus maniculatus 10:30 Began driving for Bahia de los Angeles. We plan to stop and check for herps in various pitfall traps. 15:15 hrs. Arrived at Bahia de Los Angeles and rented a room for $18/night. RS will preserve all herps and I plan to take electrophoretic tissue and peppe
