Drake S. Fager 1981 Journal 30 October 1981 2350 hrs David Good arrives at my apt. to drive me to the airport. I am planning to fly to Mexico City and spend about 10 days with Stan Sessions and Dave Darda on the last leg of their month long trip in Mexico. Dave Wake is flying to Berkeley in the morning. He has been with Stan and Dave D. for the past three weeks or so. 31 October 1981 0115 hrs Board Mexicana flight 145 for Guadalajara and Mexico City. 0410 hrs Arrive Guadalajara. Have to deboard the plane and fill out tourist papers. I loose my birth certificate in the process. 0515 hrs leave Guadalajara for Mexico City (45 min flight). 0605 hrs Arrive Mexico City. Note: I tried to take a liquid nitrogen tank (LNL) on the plane but the Mexican people would not allow it. Besides the form for "Shippers Certificate for Restricted Articles" & authorization form from Cargo Mexicano and the captain's signature is apparently required. So I had to dump out the liquid N2 at the airport and take the empty tank. 0830 hrs (Mexico time two hours ahead) past through customs but had problems with the N2 tank again. Met Stan and Dave.
