Duke E Rogers 1981 Journal to leave early to get warm. We will drive north toward the border today and hopefully cross. 0935 hrs Arrived at border (Cd. Juarez). We traveled thru Torreon, Chihuahua to get here. roads fairly good 1215 hrs. No trouble crossing. Declared animals and was not searched, so hassles were minimal. We have driven to Deming New Mexico and stopped at a hotel for the night 8 January 0835 hrs Arose early, took care of live animals, bought ice and gas and ate breakfast before continuing. We may drive straight through to Berkeley. 9 January 0530 hrs Arrived Berkeley. All animals are at this point alive and well. The roads were good, encountered rain showers here and there. Traveled via Phoenix, Blyth, Los Angeles.
