GRID MC, St 9,9 - Coll. tissues (cont) No sign of any powder -- presumed immigrant: Possible baby of 1364, but should have had powder - Double check DMS. This PM on Grid MC we caught immature ♂1769, St 8,17 covered with fresh GREEN powder, confirming ♀ 1460 as mom scab on back. #1771 ♀ SAD, nullip. 27g. Ear-tagged. GRID MC, St 5,12. Coll tissues 25-July No sign of powder, plus odd location (haven't seen her since 1986) -- immigrant (330m) This PM at MC we set up a dyadic encounter between ♂ 1206 and lab ♀ 1477 at station 5.5 (actually caught ♂ at 8,4, but hill too steep to conduct test). ♂1206 is mate of ♀ 1000, but he had no sign of powder from her. July 25 04:45h - over the night ♂ 1206 dug out under the enclosure and escaped. Since we had ♀ 1477, decided to test her against ♀ 1460 at station 8,17 under "old" conditions (5 min warmup, 10 min test). 1460 appeared more aggressive and 1477 more submissive, although not terribly so (see data sheets for data) This PM on Grid MC caught ♂ #040, St 8,17 covered with GREEN powder (wetted) July 26 This AM we dusted ♀ 1381, 43g, mp, at the woodpile with GOLDEN BROWN. #1773 ♂ SAD, TWD. 27g.
