I had 38 minutes to read, I read the book "The Catcher in the Rye". I found that it was a very interesting book and I thought that the author did a good job.
The main character is Holden Caulfield. He is a teenager who has just graduated from high school. He is very cynical about people and he thinks that most people are phony. He goes to New York City for Christmas break because he wants to get away from his family.
Holden meets various people in the city, including an old man named Mr. Antolini, who gives him advice about life. He also spends time with Sally Hayes, a girl he likes, but they don't end up together because Holden doesn't want to be serious.
He ends up at a bar where he meets several other people, including a prostitute named Sunny. He pays her $50 for sex, but she is not very good and he feels disappointed.
In the end, Holden decides to go home and try to fix his problems with his family. He realizes that he needs to stop being so cynical and start living his life.
