May 31 Oasis Ranch: 3 different birds (maybe 4) - 1 singing vigorously
June 14 Pt. Reyes, Marin Co., Calif.: 2 different birds in poison-hemlock gully just SW of Nunes Ranch.
June 23 East Mojave Desert, San Bernardino Co., Calif.: 1 in full breeding plumage singing all morning in one area of dense willows at Ft. Piute,
Oct. 30 Monterey area, Monterey Co., Calif.: 2 - Carmel Rivermouth. One was a little odd in that it was mostly yellow underneath, including most of belly - just a little whitish in center of belly, band of yellow between legs across vent - undertail coverts were clean white, eyeline extremely well-defined, back brilliant yellow-green.
Nov. 6 Monterey area: 2 - Carmel Rivermouth - at least one was a different bird from Oct. 30 (no very yellow bird today). Both were seen together.
