Remsen, J.V. 1977 Tufted Puffin Lunda cirrhata July 10 Point Reyes, Marin Co., Calif.: 3 seen around Chimney Rock s. of Fish Docks (where 2 had been reported last weekend). Two were seen together on the water 100-200 yds. beyond the rocks- good views. They were in breeding plumage except one seemed to lack the plumes. The plumed bird was seen with some plant material in its bill, which it carried with it when it dove under water several times.
