May 24 Caliz, San Bernardino Co., Calif.: 1 imm. collected as it
circled around the McConnell Ranch with a flock of
white Rock Doves. Extremely rare in desert areas of Calif -
one of few San Bern. Co. records
June 29 McGrath St. Beach, Ventura Co., Calif.: 50+ - amazingly high
number for summer - assumed to be too late to be migrants.
June 14 Pt. Reyes, Marin Co., Calif.: 1 - summering?
July 10 Pt. Reyes: 2 (adults)
Sept. 15 North End Salton Sea, Riverside Co., Calif.: 60 (as many as
200 were reported summering here)
Nov. 6 Monterey area, Monterey Co., Calif.: 500 along Monterey shore - strong
winds. Many migrating west past Pt. Pinos.
Nov. 13 Monterey area: 20 - greatly diminished from last week.
