Remsen, J.V. 1977 Broad-winged Hawk Buteo platypterus Oct. 2 Point Diablo, Marin Co., Calif.: 1 seen overhead at Bunker Hill at ~ 1130 - short broad wings and short, broad triangular tail. The tail was black and white banded Underwings were all gleaming white except for strongly contrasting black tips of primaries. Underparts also clean white without streaks
