P.D.Benedicti 1962 Stercorarius pomatorius 5 June Meade River Coal Mine, 152°25'W, 70°29'N, Alaska. 4 light phased birds seen flying east over camp about 9 A.M and 3 light and 1 dark bird about noon. Two light birds about 5 P.M. Surprising to see this species here! 8 June One flew over camp about 4 P.M. A ? seen about our dorm (color) and a (?) landed along the Meade river about 3:30. All light phase bi 9 June One flew over in the A.M. 10 June One near camp about noon. 11 June a pair flying over camp about 10 A.M. 12 June One over h. Again? about 2 P.M. Stercorarius pomarinus
