P. De Benedictis 1965 Red Fox Vulpes fulva 18 June Barrow, Alaska. A large animal with an almost all red tail seen on an area of high Polygons at the SE side of Family Logoon about 4 PM. It sat out in the open for 5 minutes and went off slowly as I worked toward it. It often looked unmistakably Cat-like, and is shortly noted than Red Foxes I am used to. 24 June One seen crossing the eastern part of the tundra area about noon. It had a very mangy tail. 21 July One seen in the tundra area behind the lab. It was not skinned in bright pelage than earlier and the tail is still mangy!
