P. DeBenedictis 1965 Plectrophanes nivalis 7 July Barrow Alaska. - As still singing but not as loudly as earlier in the spring. They sometimes give a sharp "peep" note, rather like a Black Phoebe, in flight. 11 July Very scarce, almost absent, south of Footprint Lake. 15 July a fledgling begging food seen behind the cab. Shortly before noon today. 21 July A nest in the hub area contained 2 eggs and 1 small young bird. 1 Fledgling seen 20 July,
