Passerella iliaca
Time Meade River Coal Mine, 157°025'W, 70°029'N, Alaska
One feeding along a cat road near the village, out
in its open scratching in crushed Elymus, about
noon. It was the grey-headed, rusty-backed type
of central Alaska. One seen near the centre
plot about 11 PM was in the same plumage as the
bird seen in the village, and resting in a small clump
of willows.
