They are now getting to be fairly secretive. 4 June 2 singing near the village and la flashes from areas of tall grass. They are especially #s along the airstrip and in the flat N of the village 5 June 7 singing from the lake basin S of the South Ridge and a few near the village as usual, in the very heavily grown open barren meadows, especially where there is mats of low willows. 6 June Singing near the village creek as usual. Present in weedy gany areas, but shy when on the ground. 7 June Heard and seen near the village and on the village flats 8 June Wide spread but scarce over the village flats, One singing S of South Creek. 9 June 3-4 singing and flushed in the village flats and where they are widespread. 10 June One a two near the center plot, A 5 near the generator shack and 1-2 #s in the flats south of South ridge 11 June At least 3 #s in the flats near the South Ridge, #s not singing a lot.
