Anthus spinolaetta 28 May Meade River Coal Mine, 15725'W, 7029'N, Alaska One seen feeding in a very sandy area with a little grass and blupas just S of camp near the mine, along the river, about 9 AM. 30 May One heard flying over and seen in flight about 1 mi. N of the village at 6 AM. 31 May One seen and heard flying over the camp area about 2 PM. (Some of the birds described only may be Yellow Wagtails, which do have a pipit-like note). Anthus spinolaetta is now Anthus rubescens per tou 1998
