the ground and moving about actively all the time. One a two bright birds still near the AF Wanningan.
2 June They are still about, but only 2 birds now seem to be near camp, working the area from camp to the village, and another pair is near the flowing stream, where I heard some song, north of camp. About 5:30 I managed to collect the 4 of the local pairs. She was in pre laying condition, the belly base and the largest ova were about 4 mm and becoming yolk, the cut smalles and pale yellows. The oviduct was enlarged but not apparently used. She was fat! Stomach contents well chewed up but there are too heads that looked like sweet feeds. The male is much more active and noisier now, covering a large area from the village to the coal mine, calling a lot but not singing much, which was the case from 5:30 to 6 after I got the 4.
3 June The 2 at the AF Wanningan already remated by 11 AOT and both birds flying about though not sticking together as closely as before. A little song. A lone ?B seen over willows grown polygon from the coal mine to the creek mini. 5 of camp, may be a different bird from the pair at the AF Wanningan.
4 June Saw the 2 of the AF Wanningan pair carrying nest material and there is lots of activity by the mouth of the creek There
