P. De Benedichis 1965 Stena Paradisaea 24 June Barrow, Alaska - One seen flying S along Elson hoggon in the afternoon, the flight flopping with deep wing strokes. The dark underparts were clearly evident and the primaries were indeed translucent except for the margin as they are accidied to be. 25 June Two seen flying South over Ark area in the morning, one "feeding" (no captures seen) over the WSE part of Central Marsh and one seen along Elson hoggon in the morning; one seen flying along the E part of Family hoggon in the afternoon. The call is a high "kee aarr" 26 June One seen crossing Dr. P. Kelha's plot. 28 June One seen over Fresh hoggon. 5 July One flying along the shore in the evening. 11 July Two lone birds seen in the 1Kroasit region. 12 July Two flying west along the beach in the evening. 16 July Two along Elson hoggon going S (exit) 19 July Four seen flying west along the shore by th kobs. 20 July One seen in Central Marsh and two feeding close to shore on Elson hoggon near Wollischag's cough. 25 July Birds seen today were with Sabine's gull colonies, thrusts (more certainly found). In addition to the "keearr" call birds would occasionally rise high in the air flying with a deep wing stroke and calling a high pitched "kit kit kit kit......" Only one bird seen on the ground.
