Area: waded from end of west side dille of Whitewater River down Whitewater River to Salton Sea and then waded west to within 300 yds of a line of [illegible] telephone poles; water in river was above our shoulders at one point but for the most part, water levels were about knee level and soft mud had hard bottom one foot under soft layer. Time: 0530 - 1030 Temp: 75-90 Wind: 0 SW

Area: Mescale Sea (nr Hardrock Queen Sea) - overflowing tank with several medium-sized mesquite in Joshua-Juniper-Blackbrush area. Also Castle Peaks - Juniper woodland with no pinyons - NE Laqain Valley to nr. Stagecoach Sea where there is a wash with tall dense Chilopsis and tributaries with tall dense Acacia (15N-17E-25-5W) & Hart Mountain Rd to OX Ranch to Caruthers
