Area: Baller to Kelso to Cima to Cedar Canyon to Caruthers Canyon; census plots 1 (creosote-burrobrush) and 3 (Joshua tree). Caruthers' Canyon has an area in the upper canyon which is a mixture of scrub oak and pinyon and has 2 "large" (25' tall) Canyon Live Oaks. Sagamore Canyon has only a few scrub oak thickets in the bottom of the canyon and no Canyon Live Oak ; however there is water available at the edge of 2 mine shafts at the bed of the canyon above the buildings. Live Oak Canyon has a fairly solid, continous patch of scrub oak about 50 x 200 m., with about 10
