Area: around the picnic area next to the market; residence of Mr. E.H. McConnell on the NW edge of town. McConnell's house is the best spot - he has a couple of small ponds, waters extensively, and has a fruit orchard. However, he wages war on most birds - anything that eats his sprouting plants, fruit, or chicken feed is blasted. There are also 5 cats. Hawks are shot on sight. It's a death trap but certainly must attract swarms of migrants. Time: 1110-1130 Wind: 0 Temp: 65 Sky: clear
