Area: ungrazed pasture SE of TV tower SE of Campo, as referenced by Lane and Holt (1973) as a Lesser Prairie Chicken booming ground Time: 0515 - 0700 Observers: same Temp: 40-45 Wind: 5-15 S Sky: clear Species: Lesser Prairie Chicken 14 W. Meadowlark 10 Mourning Dove 2 Horned Lark 10 Coyotes - heard previous evening Lark Bunting 1 Cassin's Sparrow 5 Cimarron River, Baca County, Colo. Area: walked in to the river bottom from a farmer's dirt track which came with 1/2 mile of the river. The river itself was completely dry, and there was almost no undergrowth and heavy grazing.
