Colo.: 1 feeding on ground covered with dead leaves under cottonwood in cottonwood-willow grove along a swampy low area along southern edge of Bonny Res. Rufous crown, olive brown back, eye-ring, white throat, dark malar, spotted underparts, walking along ground. Oct. 1 Pt. Reyes, Marin Co. Calif.: 2 at Nunes Ranch - both seen at same time. Uniform brown upperparts with orange-rusty crowns; eye-ring; round black spots on white breast; ground-walking behavior.
