Dec. 4 Eastern Mohave Desert, San Bernardino Co., Calif.: 1 young in complete song
in sage-jumper habitat at the entrance to Mid Hills Campground
at about 5500' - an unusual habit. Also another was seen in
a sparsely vegetated wash in Wild Horse Valley at 4120' - cholla-yucca-
and a few catclaw acacias.
