Remsen, J.V. 1975 Winter Wren Troglodytes troglodytes Jan.1 Waterton, Jefferson Co., Colo: 2 seen foraging in wet areas at edges of springs about 300 yds downstream from the bridge on the east bank of the South Platte. This winter and fall was a "big year" for this species in Colorado according to Jack Reddall et al. Dec. 2 Fort Piute, San Bernadino Co., Calif: 1 heard and seen well in dense riparian - reddish-brown all-over including breast and belly, very short tail, [illegible] call like Wilson's Warbler - very rare in this part of Calif.
