Remsen, J.V. 1975 Black Swift Cypseloides niger Oct. 11 Pt. Reyes, Marin Co., Calif: 2 feeding over high coastal bluffs near Fish Docks. Size of White-throated or larger. Mostly gliding flight – when they did flap, flap was noticeably slower than other N. Am. swifts. Wing tips seemed very arched backwards. Tail [illegible] – basically squared, but rounded corners and notched.
