Remsen, J.V. 1974 Pacific Killer Whale Grampus rectipinnis Jan. 26 Monterey Bay offshore boat trip, Monterey Co., Calif: 4, including one ad. ♂, just a couple of miles off Moss Landing, moving north. They all surfaced simultaneously. The 4 ft. high dorsal fin of the male was very striking, but we couldn't see much of the animal itself. Came as close as 200 yds. from boat.
