Feb-18 San Luis NWR, Merced Co, Calif: I heard what sounded like a phainopepla calling, but considering the location and the time of year, I couldn't believe my ears until I found a female in a clump of mistletoe. Also seen by K.Garrett, B.Bowen, S. Brown.
