May 5 Mines Rd, Alameda Co, Calif: 1 carrying food - almost certainly nesting in the vicinity - Digger Pine-Blue Oak habitat. Too late for a migrant - migrants don't carry food. This is the first time I've ever seen this species on Mines Rd., much less in breeding season. Probably not known to breed in Diablo Mtns. This was within 2 miles (downstream) from Branding Iron Cafe.
