May 23 Crane Flat meadows, Yosemite NP, Tuolumne Co., Calif: O despite searching of all the meadows at dusk.
May 27 Crane Flat meadows: I sitting on branch of fallen log in the middle of the meadow behind the gas station at ~ 2000 hrs. Allowed approach to within 40' before flying off into woods. Remained relatively oblivious to our presence the entire time of observation (~10 minutes).
