Bird looks to similar species. Colo.: E.
From a very close sighting.
All three of us collected names individually. I am sure that there were no more than one bird and yet no people for an hour.
I was watching as the dog ran out, but did not see it return until much later.
The bird had gone into the tree tops where it remained silent and still.
One of the birds was dark. The other was grayish-brown with white underparts.
Both were seen near a creek in the early morning light.
They appeared to be hunting small mammals.
No other wildlife was observed during this period.
Weather conditions were favorable for observation.
