May 30, 1942
Arose fairly late. Weather = chilly, not so cold as May 29 which was freezing in the morning.
Crawling I went & picked up traps which had been left along slope where Hotel Cukjoin S. Table. In pitch - 3 traps sprung.
Fixed up trail lunch & arrived at Calliope hot spot about 10:65. Watched calliope until about 2:20 came back down and looked in on Robin. Martin & falcon flying around skipping desperately bt. next tree & tree about 20 yds. away. Young = in nest with fairly long down - feathers that clearly visible.
Company for Denise - I did not set traps - intending I leave early in the a.m. to see Calliope.
