Myotis volans
April 30 30mi S.E. Mesquital 600 ft Baja California
(Written in San Ignacio). Two males caught
in roof thatched with palm-fronds from
delapidated building (adobe) about 200 yds
from mine. Bats were procured about 9:00 AM.
April 29 by tapping the thatching with
sticks and the subsequent hand setting
of the individuals as they flew out singly.
May 17 Trujillo, 1700 ft, Baja California

Two caught yesterday in an abandoned building
in town. They were roosting in the same spot as
Tadarida - crowded between 2x12 supports for
the roof of a wrecked 2 story building. Specimens
were cataloged by Dr. Benem.
May 26 El Carrizalito, 1400 ft, 5mi N. Santiago, Baja Calif.
One netted by Murray as it flew over water
tank 100 yards west of camp last night.
