Quest 1948 Journal 92 May 28 El Carriyalito, 1400 ft, 5mi N. Santiago, Baja California Mexican Dove, White-winged Dove. The tanks and pool by the caretaker's house contain Brufu punctatus; the pool north of th physician's house contains Hyla. May 29 Lam. Minimum temperature last night was 52° F. The valley was filled with fog at 6:30 this morning. Tevis caught an Antrozous minor over th, wate tanks (upper one) last night and Dr. Benson netted a Dasyptruma ega over the pond by the Caretaker's house. I netled one Antinous minor in the celing of the two story stair-well of this building last night, shot a Pipistrellus hespeme over the cornfield at dusk, and netted a Pipistrellus hesperme and a Myotis californicus over the Caretaker's pool last night between 7:30 and 9:00 P.M. Bats started flying last night at 7:45 P.M., the Pipistrellus being seen at that time feeding among the rocks and trees well up the mountain slope. Saw a flock of Quail and a Plumbeous Snateacher this morning in the flat area below the hill. May 30 El Choro 800+ ft 2mi W.
