Pileolated Warbler
May 17 Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Co., California
1:30 PM. Perched in inner branches red alder tree singing.
Breast bright yellow; black crown. Song - 4 slow notes ->
5 or 6 gradually accelerated. Alder on creek edge amid
riparian habitat of raspberry bushes, Equisetum, & ferns
at the base of a steep hill covered with Douglas fir,
lowland fir, and red alders (near base)
