Vires huttoni
Oct. 21 El Batil, 5100 feet, Sinaloa
A call-note identical with that of
in California;
V. huttoni was heard several times from
loose flocks of small passerines. Today,
for several minutes, one sang in a manner
similar again to that of V. huttoni in
California: Unfortunately, I did not
succeed in observing or collecting one.
Nov. 6-10 Casita, 40 km. S Nogales, 3300 feet, Sonora.
Fairly common in oak woodland,
individually or in pairs
occurring in flocks of small passerines.
