Contopus pertinax Oct. 18 El Batel, 5100 feet, Sinaloa One collected in pine-oak woodland above camp. It suggests very much Nuttallornis borealis, but its call is softer and more quiet. The notes lack the robustness of the olive-side, and approach more those of Myiochanes. Oct. 21 Another seen in a similar situation along the high ridge above camp.
