Trogon mexicanus
Oct. 21 El Batel, 5100 ft., Sinaloa
One observed in fairly dense oak-pine. It
was apparently catching insects on wing and
would sally out after them from a lower
branch, moving through openings beneath
or below trees. In this manner it progressed
up a slope. One was collected by Leopold
on Oct. 15.
