Lampornis demencia Oct. 18 El Batel, 5,100 feet, Sinaloa Both today and on the 16th, a large hummer was observed briefly as it flew through the upper parts of the woodland vegetation along the ridge above camp. The flight differed distinctly from that of the smaller hummers, the wing beat being slower and visible, and the flight itself being broken so that the course was slightly undulating. None seen elsewhere, or reported by Leopold or Russell.
