Petelka 1943 Hylcichla guttata June 19 Kayfork Bally, Trinity Co., Calif. Noted between 4000 and 6000 ft. (and probably lower) in mixed coniferous- deciduous forest as well as pure coniferous forest. This species appears to prefer thickets of young firs scattered along a slope covered with a canopy forest.
