P. DeBenedictis 1965 Calidris pusilla 8 July Barrow, Alaska - I suspected it would. The nests checked today were all unchanged in pair & egg status otherwise. 9 July Checked all nests for contents only in the BOOTH area, and all were unchanged from yesterday. Nest 2 appears to have been abandoned. Little song or evidence of many flocks in the area; fair number were seen in Footpits lake. 10 July A flock of 12 birds was seen along the W side of Central Marsh and scattered individuals, probably, parts of pairs were seen near the Meadow Lakes, near the USC&GS shore and along Elson Bayon. No song. 11 July Nest 1 still eggs and Nest 19 still 3 eggs; none seen in the Kroatik region. 12 July most of the nests were checked today, see nests sheets for data. No flocks seen. 13 July The nests in the BOOTH area were checked but no change in any. a group of 3 near Nest 17. 14 July Nest 21 has 4 eggs as noted before and only one bird was seen in the area. The nest is well hidden in grass. A 4 egg nest was found where the weasel road crosses the Beach ridge in heavy grow and was attended by both birds at least yesterday. No flocks seen in the morning.
