Gavia arctica
30 June Meade River Coal Mine, 157°25'W, 78°29'N, Alaska
About half a dozen or and near Lake Agassiz. None
calling.
4 July Only two on Lake Agassiz. Apparently the big
#s from earlier were in response to ? freezing of
inland lakes ? local food supply.
5 July Two on the lakes where I was collecting.
One or two near the dams, on the Dr. flow, but not
in the River. I suspect that they are now mostly
in the Stollower Lakes, and that the River is
pretty much Red-throat country.
8 July At least two near Lake Agassiz
11 July Three on Lake Agassiz, one on the N lake
by the Census plot.
