Bredick 1966 Gravia archica 8 June Meade River Coal Mine, 15°02'5"W, 70°24'N, Alaska Due flying over the lake W of camp going South and one in the pool in the area S. of the ice dam. 9 June Two flying over in the A.M. Two in the evening. 10 June 1007-8 (sp?) calling from the far side of the Meade River area. 10 June 1/2 two in the large river pools in front of village. A few flying over silently. Less #s than stellata, when the river ice went (built up) birds seen only in flight over beach. 11 June A few seen in flight overhead. 12 June A pair on the lake up 0.7 miles creek in A.M. A couple flying over in the evening. ? Some calling, "Typically" (oon like from the lake or village creek). 16 June 3 in lake Agaray and several seen flying over. 17 June 2 in a small pool in the village flats and on lake Agaray. A Heat 4 on a lake or the far side of the Meade about 2 miles N of camp, calling vigorously. Several seen flying over. 16-19 June Calling on the lakes. Occasional birds flying over. 23 June A pair on the lake behind the CO2 warmer, and at least 3 and probably 4 pairs on the larger lake SW of there. No calling, but the birds are closely paired and possibly starting to nest - ? attached to sections of the lake. 25 June Two in the lakes W of the center plot. 29 June Two on the large lake at the head of Village Creek
