P. De Benediht 1965 Plovialis dominica 26 July Barrow, Alaska - one in a dry field in A vortlana. 27 July about 4 out in the low grass near a pool's edge in Central marsh and 3 or dry, low relief polygons east of ATCS. 4 in the wet lake plains near lines VII; very little plower noise, and all looked like transients. 29 July A pair which acted like they had groomed (I saw by Hamilton) between lines V+VI on Pitelka's census plot and other on a polygonized area near lines X+XI. A group of 4 near Wohlschlag trough and a flock of 45+ seen flying towards the point along Elson bypass, circling as if to land, as it came by, and calling loudly, the common note is the "wee-awit-wit-wee" note.
