Phuvriolis dominica
June Berrows, Alber - low, rather sharp double "w.t" note usually preceded and followed by a higher whistled "wee" note but sometimes by, and often additionally by, the "tukee" or "tuk" phrase. The Curlew Sandpiper seen to day was chased by a Golden Plover on two occasions.
June Considerable calling, mostly involving to "w.t" note heard over Holmes' Mains and one flight display seen, 1a2 others heard.
June Heard a flight display and several calls involving the "w.t" note near the VOTH area, and saw 3 together on one occasion. They seem to have left the area close to the continuation of the Beach Ridge where they were fairly present.
June A flock of 6-8 birds percolated on Miccunet Marsh and fading relatively quietly. Heard display over the hab at dinnerturis and found them to be widely but generally distributed over the area, cared well not very noisy.
June Found a single egg of this species on a rather bare raised polygon in a slight depression in the ground. The egg stood out rather markedly from its background. Flows were seen very sparsely during the day except for the flock in Miccunet Marsh. When I went out to check them they got up, flying rapidly, circled a few times and took off to the NW, calling occasionally, leaving only 3a4 birds behind.
