P. DeBenedictis 1965 Falco peregrinus 10 July Barrow, Alaska - a lone bird in somewhat worn plumage seen flying west over the polygonized ground W of Meadow Lake. As it flew we it was attacked by each successive pair of jaegers, and appeared to have a rough twist avoiding them. It didn't stay around long, needless to say. 17 July One flying N over the 05TH area and attacked by jaegers as it crossed the jaeger's territories. It was more spotted below than the 10 July bird and the entire trailing edge of its wing & tail tip was distinctly frayed. 21 July One similar to the last bird seen flying south along the shore of Elson Lagoon - it seems to have finally found a place where the jaegers leave alone!
