They never produce fruit and were only
a few feet high.
I had seen them before, but this time I saw something new. It was a large, dark shape that seemed to be moving in the wind. I watched it for a moment, then turned back to my car.
The sky above me was filled with clouds, and the air felt cold against my skin. I could hear the sound of water dripping from somewhere nearby, but I couldn't see where it was coming from.
As I drove away, I glanced back one last time at the hill. There was nothing there now except for a few trees and bushes scattered across its surface.
